Breast Reconstruction is a surgical process which is performed to reconstruct the shape and appearance of women’s breast. The main purpose of breast reconstruction is to restore one or both breasts to near create a normal shape, appearance, and size. Breast Reconstruction surgery is designed to make a new breast after removal of the breast. The main goal is to make a breast equal in size and shape to your original breast. This procedure often involves multiple procedures which are performed in stages. Breast Reconstruction generally falls into two categories:
- Implant-based reconstruction
- Flap reconstruction
- Type of mastectomy
- Cancer treatments

- Removing the whole breast and skin, and using an implant underneath the remaining skin
